I’m going to dig deeper on some of my 2018 goals. First up is my Spiritual Goals and I categorised it under faith on my main goals post.  Today (January 23) is the perfect day to share my goals related to the Lord because today I’m celebrating my baptism day! 😀

Last year must be the year that I struggled the most with my relationship with God.  Honestly, I even concluded to myself that I’d be agnostic again.  I conveniently forgotten my promise to the Lord and my commitment to Him for the rest of my life.  It was funny though coz when I was overwhelmed by emotions, God still came first to mind. And I realised that even though I felt a little hurt for all the bad things that happened to me the past 2 years, I still love the Lord and still want to seek Him.  So in 2018, I committed myself to rebuild my relationship with God by reading His word.

My 2018 Spiritual Goals

I’m shy to admit that until now I haven’t finished reading the Bible.  Despite trying so many times, I couldn’t finish the book.  I had so many excuses (hard to read, hard to understand, no time, etc) but this year, I am going to finish the Bible.  That is also the reason why I’ve been sharing my Bible learnings week by week here in my blog.  My two dearest sisters in Christ are also helping me with this goal by reading the Bible with me (they have finished reading the Bible multiple times but as kind-hearted as they are, they are doing it again to help guide me through the journey).

Surprisingly or better yet – God’s arrangement, I met wonderful people in the church that are paving the way for me to go back to church.  I stopped going to church for some time.  I was angry at God for always blessing people who are evil in nature and continuously giving good-hearted people unfair trials.  I know now that is not for me to judge and not for me to even think but that was how I felt especially late last year.  I’m humbled as I read through the Bible and upon talking to fellow saints in the church.  I will just leave it all to the Lord and I will do all things through Him who strengthens me.

As I celebrate my baptism day, I’m sharing with you the 365-day Bible reading plan I’m following.  I use the Bible iOS application by YouVersion.  I started the plan January 1, 2018 and if everything goes to plan, I’ll be able to complete reading the Bible by December 31, 2018.
