This year, I’ve been trying to eat healthy. So for merienda, I always go for popcorn. But honestly, I’m getting tired of it. I’ve been going back to eating junk food every now and then and that really doesn’t feel good at all. So I tried the Avocado and Milk with Ice recipe. I remember eating this when I was still a little girl. Glad that I found the recipe for it because it was a good snack to eat! Super yummy! [Read more…] about Avocado and Milk with Ice

Avocado Shake
I love drinking fruit shakes and I truly love avocado! It’s avocado season and I got to order a couple of kilos this month. So I decided to prepare Avocado Shake! Avocado tastes nice with milk so milk is always added to avocado recipes. I wish I’ve taken a better photos of the finished product but the taste of this Avocado shake is yummy! I drank a lot of this this month, haha! [Read more…] about Avocado Shake
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
I cry 99% of the time when watching movies or TV shows. I guess it’s the empathy in me always at play. But To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before struck me big time. And I’m just glad I watched it at home and not anywhere else where people can see me. [Read more…] about To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
Bible Study 2018 – Week 29 Learnings
I told my friends from church that I’ll go back to sunday service this September. This sunday will be September and honestly, I’m terrified! I may be going to bible studies and reading Bible daily but I’m still afraid to go to Sunday Service. I guess I still have that little bit of trauma of seeing people who are active in church service yet acting so evil in reality. That trauma stayed with me and I’m so afraid to trust people again (especially ones who are supposed to be “devoted”). However, I know that evil people are indeed everywhere and I should not judge the whole church just because of a few bad apples. Even my faith in God got affected with my bad experience. I’m still working very hard to move on from the effects of the trauma. It has been more than a year. Honestly, this is good progress but I’ll work harder. Kimchi Stew
There’s a Korean Restaurant in Makati that I frequent to. I order their Korean stew all the time and have been wishing that I can find the recipe and replicate at home. Last
The only reason why I noticed Last in Netflix is that the leading lady was from the series, Moorim School. I want to watch more of her as I really liked her cutesy aura. It was fun to see another character from Moorim School playing one of the leads in Last as well. To be totally honest, if not for the 2 celebrities in the series, I wouldn’t even dare to watch Last. It doesn’t seem to be the type of drama series that I would want to watch. However, after finishing it, I realized that it wasn’t bad at all! It is a deep series rooted from family, revenge, loyalty, love and friendship. It’s a cut-throat type of setup but it will make us reflect on our own thoughts and decisions. [Read more…] about Last
Bible Study 2018 – Week 28 Learnings
On my quest to catch up on serious backlog, here I am with a very fast Bible reading. I admit that it’s not of quality but I’m trying very very hard. Today as well, I’m deeply humbled as a sister in Christ started the habit of us praying together daily. Praying is an afterthought for me and maybe that’s why I’m struggling a bit with life’s challenges right now. I’m thankful that God is still there for all of us, accepting us despite our sins and imperfection. [Read more…] about Bible Study 2018 – Week 28 Learnings
Bulalo Beef Pares
When I was still residing in Quezon City, I would go to La Loma as frequent as I can to eat Pares. That time, I still didn’t know how to cook (yes, even a decent sunny-side up egg). Now, that I am able to cook, I figured it’s time for me to learn one of my favorite dishes but then I saw a recipe online that has a twist to it. Introducing Bulalo Beef Pares. It’s amazing! I get to eat a combination of my 2 favorite dishes, the pares and the bulalo. The result is definitely yummy! It’s a bit of a work but it was all worth it! [Read more…] about Bulalo Beef Pares
