I have been serious in doing my best to build my relationship with the Lord. Apart from the 1 year Bible plan, I have also been reading morning revival. Most of the time, I read through it and try to summarise what I read. Sometimes, I understood what I read. Last year, I decided to quit on my church life as I have been extremely disappointed with some members of the church. I truly embraced the usual judgment on Christians -> “Christians are hypocrites“. The worst people that I know are active in church (And they even look angelic!).  But then again, I failed to see that the most wonderful people I know are also Christians. My journey with the Lord is not always smooth-sailing.  These days, it’s really hard. I feel that I’m getting farther and farther away from Him despite reading God’s word everyday.  Somehow, when I read, I don’t feel the excitement. There’s a feeling of dread (which is really bad). I started reading this week’s Bible reading with a happy heart. I’m just glad that I finally was able to catch up on readings!  I’m fixing my schedule to ensure that I give enough time for my reading time despite life’s busyness.  Alone time with the Lord is a non-negotiable so even if I have a jam-packed schedule, I should continue to do my daily Bible read. I noticed changes in me when I stopped reading the Bible for a few days.  While I continue to live my life the best way I know I can, I tend to falter on removing the hatred on people who did me harm.  One of the reasons I wanted to read His word is that I want to remove whatever hate is that I have in my heart.  Because it’s really for us, life is too short to wallow in hate.  I’m letting the Lord handle them.  I sleep with a peaceful heart and a clean conscience.

I do not wish to fall behind on my Bible reading again. I have all the intentions in staying as a Christian. I do not want my bad experiences in life to be a reason for me to let go of God. [Read more…] about Bible Study 2018 – Week 13 Learnings

I thought that being able to consistently read and share my learnings from the Bible for over 2 months is setting me up for success.  Unfortunately, I’ve fallen apart the past 2 weeks and today, I am catching up big time. I intend to focus on being able to give as much time to knowing and learning His word. I do not want to quit on being a Christian without finishing the Bible. I refuse to lose my faith. It’s a bit of a struggle reading the Bible as it is but I will continue to push through.  Out of all the readings, there will be something that I can take away. I’m excited to complete this goal so that I can move on to reading the Life Application Bible. I wish to know God more and hope that I can get away from focusing on my human thoughts and go towards serving God more.
