I told my friends from church that I’ll go back to sunday service this September.  This sunday will be September and honestly, I’m terrified!  I may be going to bible studies and reading Bible daily but I’m still afraid to go to Sunday Service. I guess I still have that little bit of trauma of seeing people who are active in church service yet acting so evil in reality.  That trauma stayed with me and I’m so afraid to trust people again (especially ones who are supposed to be “devoted”). However, I know that evil people are indeed everywhere and I should not judge the whole church just because of a few bad apples. Even my faith in God got affected with my bad experience. I’m still working very hard to move on from the effects of the trauma. It has been more than a year.  Honestly, this is good progress but I’ll work harder. On my quest to catch up on serious backlog, here I am with a very fast Bible reading. I admit that it’s not of quality but I’m trying very very hard. Today as well, I’m deeply humbled as a sister in Christ started the habit of us praying together daily. Praying is an afterthought for me and maybe that’s why I’m struggling a bit with life’s challenges right now. I’m seriously struggling and dragging myself to open the Bible app and continue reading. It’s so hard to understand and comprehend but I’ll continue to catch up on my backlog. I’m praying hard that I’ll be able to still complete my 2018 goal of finishing the Bible by year-end. By next year, I’ll work on a different strategy so I get to understand what I read. I’m always wondering why the Bible was written in a way that is a bit difficult for most people to understand.  Without the life application study, it’s hard to go deeper on the meaning of every verse. So I’m excited to finish the Bible this year and get my hands on the Life application study Bible next. I want to know God more and I want to help fulfil His goal. I will continue to pray about this. Halfway through the year, I’m also halfway through my bible reading. In all honesty, reading the Bible is a bit hard to understand.  For next year, I intend to study the chapters one by one using the Life application study bible. I can feel myself changing. I think I have recovered from the painful experiences I had in the past. I’m slowly seeing so much beauty in the world especially in my daily life. I tend to appreciate the people around me, the things I have worked on and the fact that I’m still here.  Most importantly, I can now feel that God is with me. God is giving me strength every single day. Life is challenging but I’m comforted that God is there for every single one of us.  We can overcome any obstacles as long as we have Him in our hearts. I’m still catching up on my missed Bible readings but I’m starting to feel good again. I guess the reason why I’m so out of it the past few weeks is that I didn’t have any walk with the Lord. My fear of stopping my bible reading journey has come. I stopped reading for the whole month of June but I’m trying to snap out of it!  So even though I’m so delayed in my Bible readings, I will carry on. I guess I have to add a little bit to my spiritual goal. I should not strive only to finish reading the Bible but I should learn to pray every single day. That includes praying that I won’t lose trust in the Lord despite seeing some “mature” Christians doing extraordinary evil things to good people.
