Avocado and Milk with Ice

August 28, 2018 Leave a Comment

This year, I’ve been trying to eat healthy.  So for merienda, I always go for popcorn. But honestly, I’m getting tired of it.  I’ve been going back to eating junk food every now and then and that really doesn’t feel good at all. So I tried the Avocado and Milk with Ice recipe. I remember eating this when I was still a little girl. Glad that I found the recipe for it because it was a good snack to eat!  Super yummy! [Read more…] about Avocado and Milk with Ice

I love drinking fruit shakes and I truly love avocado!  It’s avocado season and I got to order a couple of kilos this month.  So I decided to prepare Avocado Shake!  Avocado tastes nice with milk so milk is always added to avocado recipes. I wish I’ve taken a better photos of the finished product but the taste of this Avocado shake is yummy! I drank a lot of this this month, haha! [Read more…] about Avocado Shake

There’s a Korean Restaurant in Makati that I frequent to. Bulalo Beef Pares

August 20, 2018 Leave a Comment

When I was still residing in Quezon City, I would go to La Loma as frequent as I can to eat Pares.  That time, I still didn’t know how to cook (yes, even a decent sunny-side up egg). Now, that I am able to cook, I figured it’s time for me to learn one of my favorite dishes but then I saw a recipe online that has a twist to it.  Introducing Bulalo Beef Pares.  It’s amazing!  I get to eat a combination of my 2 favorite dishes, the pares and the bulalo.  The result is definitely yummy!  It’s a bit of a work but it was all worth it! Garlic Fried Rice

Since I live alone, I ended up cooking one big batch of rice then reheat the rice during the course of the week.  Due to that, I have plenty of opportunities to prepare dishes that includes leftover rice.  The most basic of all is Garlic Fried Rice which is my favorite and my recipe for the day. Fresh Mango Juice

I love fresh fruit juices!  Fresh fruit juices or shakes are very expensive but I still continue to order it anyway when they are available in the restaurants.  One day, one of our church leaders prepared this and gave me a glass during one of our bible studies, it was so yummy that even after a few days, I continue to crave for the mango juice. So I made Fresh Mango Juice for myself recently. Love, love, love Mango Juice! 😍 [Read more…] about Fresh Mango Juice

Bistek Tagalog

July 25, 2018 Leave a Comment

I’ve always had this fear of cooking Bistek Tagalog. I thought it’s hard to cook. So I just try to order this whenever a restaurant offers Bistek Tagalog.  But I know I need to face this fear anyhow, so a couple of weeks ago, I tried my hand in cooking Bistek Tagalog.  It’s not hard after all! 😄 [Read more…] about Bistek Tagalog

I rarely prepare desserts. One day, I was hungry in the afternoon despite having lunch. I wasn’t keen on eating peanuts or edamame that time, so I opened up my recipe database and prepared Ginataang Mais at Malagkit na Kanin. Good thing I had corn and boy, do I love this dish!  It was super filling yet tasty! [Read more…] about Ginataang Mais at Malagkit na Kanin
